Hysterectomy

Hysterectomy is the surgical removal of a woman's uterus. This procedure is typically performed for various medical reasons, such as large fibroids (myomas), uterine cancer, endometriosis, or severe uterine bleeding. Hysterectomy can be performed as a total hysterectomy (removal of the entire uterus) or a partial hysterectomy (removal of part of the uterus). After the operation, a woman cannot become pregnant naturally. There can be various effects on the recovery process and quality of life following hysterectomy, which should generally be carefully evaluated and planned by a doctor.
