Swelling, bruising, and discomfort are common during this period. 2-3 Weeks: Patients are often advised to continue avoiding prolonged sitting and to sleep on their stomach or sides. Compression garments may be recommended to help minimize swelling and support the healing process. 4-6 Weeks: Most individuals can gradually resume light activities but should still avoid putting direct pressure on the buttocks. Exercise or strenuous physical activity may need to be limited during this period. 6 Weeks and Beyond: By six weeks post-surgery, many patients can gradually return to their normal activities, including sitting more comfortably. However, it's essential to follow the specific post-operative instructions provided by the surgeon. It's important to know that your body is unique, so recovery times may vary.
