Dr. Erdem Güven

In 1992, he graduated from Istanbul Kabataş Erkek Lisesi, and in 1998, he completed his studies at Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine. In 1998, he spent 6 months as an observer at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in the United States. In 1999, he started his specialization in plastic reconstructive and aesthetic surgery at Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine. In 2003, he received the first prize in the clinical category at the 25th Turkish Society of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery Congress, presenting an alternative surgery to face transplantation. Completing his specialization in 2004, he became a specialist in plastic reconstructive and aesthetic surgery.

In 2005, he attended a course on "endoscopic forehead and mid-face rejuvenation" in San Diego, USA. In 2006, he began working as a specialist doctor in the Department of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery at Istanbul Faculty of Medicine. During his tenure at Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine, he became an associate professor in 2011. He closely followed national and international scientific organizations and conferences and frequently participated in conferences.

On March 13-15, 2013, he was invited as a speaker at the "Barcelona Breast Meeting" held in Barcelona, Spain, where he presented the "endoscopic breast reconstruction technique applied after breast removal due to breast cancer," a technique performed by a limited number of centers in Turkey and worldwide.

Güven, who is a member of the Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Association, Turkish Society of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery, Turkish Reconstructive Microsurgery Association, ISAPS, and the International Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Association, has 36 articles published in international journals and 16 articles published in national journals. He has also delivered speeches at national and international congresses and panels.
